We conclude our “Immerse - Kingdom” series with God’s people a mess. The kingdom split in two and both Israel and Judah taken into captivity. Is there hope for them and ultimately for us? In a day and age where everyone is divided, where is God and where is His Kingdom?

Elijah was a man zealous for God. He had high points in his walk with God but when things started getting tough and his life started getting threatened he feared for his life and ran into the wilderness. He wanted to die but God told him to get up and eat because there was still a long journey ahead of him. It wasn’t time to quit!

You and I have choices to make every day. Sometimes it may seem like our little choices don't really matter in the big scheme of things. But every choice leads us somewhere. Where are your choices leading you and how are they affecting the people around you? Are your choices leading you closer to Jesus or further away?

Remember a time when you asked God for something and His answer was, “No.”? How about that time you wanted Him to intervene in a circumstance in your life and HIs response again was, “No.”? Did you know there are times God NEVER says “No” and there are times He will? How do you know the difference?

The ego is our sense of self; it represents the "I" aspect of a person. Throughout the Bible, an inflated sense of self (ego) is shown to be destructive. Today Pastor Ray talks about the “ego driven” life of King Saul. Are we willing to confront our ego and allow God to truly run our lives?

You and I live in a culture where we are tempted to be someone other than the unique person God has made us to be. “I want to be like…” are the words that draw us to be someone else. This enticement goes back long ago including to God’s people, Israel. They wanted a king so they could be just like all the other nations. But is that what God was calling them to. How about you?

We continue our series of messages from Immerse Kingdoms this week as Pastor Cathleen shares from the book of Ruth. Our theme for 2022 is CONSECRATE. Ruth is a picture of a consecrated life. Her courage, character and commitment put her right in the center of Christ's coming. Her life pointed to Christ. Does yours?

Have you ever been so caught up in all that is wrong that you miss out on all that is right? That is the story of Gideon. In the time of the Judges, God’s people did “evil in the sight of the Lord.” God allowed Israel’s enemies to take advantage of them. Then when they cried out to God, God would raise up a leader to deliver them. Gideon was one of those least likely leaders.

Crossing over from one side of something to another requires being intentional. Yet there will be obstacles in that process. Today Pastor Ray looks at the life of Caleb and how he never gave up on the promise of God to cross over into the Promise Land. God wants you to have a Crossover Mentality like Caleb, whose name means “faithful”.
